The Quirky Cottage Garden - Winning Premier Gold and Best in Show
Designed by us and built by www.decol.co.uk Decol Construction Ltd. Due to our hard work and dedication, working under spotlight at 2am, we were fortunate enough to win premier gold and best in show.
A premier gold medal means we got 100% marks on the judges score card which is very difficult to do! This was the first time this award had been awarded in 11 years, so you can imagine our joy in achieving this.
Our brief was to design a front garden with a door as a backdrop. Using natural stone paving worked very well with the seating area. Structured planting and use of white wooden obelisks, plus a white picket fence provided structure for plants to grow against. A small lawn at the front included a water feature and stone globe lights lit the garden at night. Bird feeders, as well as bug houses, garden orniments and a clock were added.
