This garden was a blank canvas apart from the buildings and the hedges. The client wanted an Italian cottage looking design with the opportunity to close mow the grass and have a lush garden feel.
We designed shaped beds along the sides of the garden that extend out into the lawn to create the feel of different garden rooms.
A full mix of evergreens, conifers, perennials and annuals were in the design so there will be year round colour. Also in this planting package were thousands of spring bulbs, planted in drifts to light up the garden. in the early growing season. As a bonus and mixed in the borders there would be many different types of fruit and vegetables, to ensure the garden is a working kitchen garden, providing for the family.
